Courtesy of Showbiz ChristchurchThe Isaac Theatre Royal is Christchurch's premier heritage performing arts venue.

This very grand historic theatre is every bit as dramatic as the performances it hosts, but it is certainly no antique. A multi-million dollar refurbishment and redevelopment following the earthquakes in 2011 has made the theatre a modern, world-class performing arts venue.

The Theatre features include an elegant dress circle and gallery, glittering chandeliers, a graceful proscenium arch, a sweeping marble staircase and the breathtaking Italianate ceiling dome that is the centrepiece of this beautiful Category 'A' heritage listed building.
