A sprinkling of festive fun for everyone!
17-20 November

Based on one of the world’s most loved ballets Royal NZ Ballet’s version of The Nutcracker takes the Christmas classic and adds a twist making this colourful version fun for the whole family. The Nutcracker

“It’s a wild adventure set to Tchaikovsky’s fabulous and timeless score,” Choreographer and RNZB’s Artistic Director, Gary Harris.

The adventure begins on Christmas morning when Clara’s rat-bag brother, Fritz, clouts her over the head with her beloved nutcracker doll. Delirious with concussion, Clara is rushed to hospital where she enters a fantasy world brought to life by eye-popping, bold designs inspired by Hollywood’s big studio era. Join the Royal New Zealand Ballet and be transported into the festive season.
