Box Office Details

The Isaac Theatre Royal's box office is closed while the theatre is being repaired. Ticketek's box office is now located at the CBS Arena in Addington.

TICKETEK REFUNDS PROCESS FOR CANCELLED EVENTS

INTERNET or TELEPHONE BOOKINGS - Patrons will receive an automatic refund back to the credit card used to make the original purchase. This will show within the next 10 working days.

BOX OFFICE/AGENCY BOOKINGS - Patrons should take their tickets to the CBS Canterbury Arena Ticketek Box Office on Jack Hinton Drive in Addington to obtain a refund. The box office is open weekdays 9am-5pm. If you are unable to do so please return all tickets when able by mail to the address below:

For information on cancelled events please visit Ticketek's Facebook page as the primary communication tool for all affected event activity in Christchurch. It is being updated constantly with cancelled and postponed event notifications.

Please note that as each show may have different categories, it is not possible to show where the various categories fall for each show.

Circle & Gallery Access

The Eureka Trust Gallery is the very top section of the theatre ONLY accessible via four flights of stairs with a total of 94 steps. There is NO lift or elevator access to either this section of Isaac Theatre Royal OR the first level Ravenscar Circle, which is accessible via a wide, well bannistered marble staircase consisting of 32 steps.

The Eureka Trust Gallery is also the highest part of the Theatre and has a steep elevation. It is not suitable for the elderly, mobility assisted or disabled, or anyone that has difficulty in walking (temporarily impared or injured, or small children, for example). It is also not recommended for patrons potentially uncomfortable with heights or suffering from vertigo.

There are suitable banisters for assistance on both the Ravenscar Circle and the Eureka Trust Gallery levels to get to all seats and there are spacious rest room and refreshment facilities in the foyers of both levels.

When purchasing your Christchurch theatre tickets via the Ticketek website, you will be allocated seats on a best available basis. The system will allocate you seats and then give you the opportunity to accept or reject them. The codes below will give you an idea of where the seats are allocated in our theatre. The codes are:

  • SST1 – Southern Trust Stalls
  • SCI1 – Ravenscar Circle
  • SGL1 – Eureka Trust Gallery (Front)
  • SGL2 – Eureka Trust Gallery (Rear)

Isaac Theatre Royal Ticket Price Categories

The price and seat location of each reserve (ticket category) changes with each show and are decided by the show’s promoter. For this reason, the seating plans published make no distinction between the different reserves.
