The Isaac Theatre Royal, Christchurch is a superb and beautiful restored and redeveloped Historical Edwardian Heritage Theatre with 1266 seats over three levels. This Christchurch Venue is home to many of the national performing arts companies of New Zealand. In addition the Theatre is the preferred Christchurch venue for International touring, musicals, concerts, recitals, community and school events and children's theatre.

Circle & Gallery Access

The Eureka Trust Gallery is the very top section of the theatre ONLY accessible via four flights of stairs with a total of 94 steps. There is NO lift or elevator access to either this section of Isaac Theatre Royal OR the first level Ravenscar Circle, which is accessible via a wide, well bannistered marble staircase consisting of 32 steps.

The Eureka Trust Gallery is also the highest part of the Theatre and has a steep elevation. It is not suitable for the elderly, mobility assisted or disabled, or anyone that has difficulty in walking (temporarily impared or injured, or small children, for example). It is also not recommended for patrons potentially uncomfortable with heights or suffering from vertigo.

There are suitable banisters for assistance on both the Ravenscar Circle and the Eureka Trust Gallery levels to get to all seats and there are spacious rest room and refreshment facilities in the foyers of both levels.
